"Theme for English B"
Think of a time when you were in a class--any class--in which you felt a bit of an Outsider. Title your poem:
"Theme for ___________" [insert course title here] |
Copy the following five lines from Langston Hughes' poem:
The instructor said
"Go home and write
a page tonight
and let that page come out of you,
then it will be true."
Write two stanzas--10 lines, then 25--all about you.
Close with Hughes' line, "This is my page for ______________"
